Sue Connelly reports that the first ever "Spooktakular" guided walk through the lovely historical Village of Homer was a success! The air was brisk with the hint of snow but the sun peaked out occasionally to keep the volksmarchers warm as they explored the charming but spooky village of Homer. The last part of the walk, the knowledgeable town historian, Martin Sweeney entertained with the haunted history of downtown Homer. A spirit before dinner drink was had at the local tavern, Dashers. The walkers gathered for delicious spooky dinner at the recently remodeled Sherman House on Main Street. (Yes, the former Briggs Funeral Home. One can only imagine the paranormal activity in this location!).
