The club had a wonderful fall walk in Vestal's Jones Park. It was a cool September day, with just a touch of autumn in the air. The walk featured burbling brooks, a gigantic tree, a trail scattered with odds and ends artfully placed in the woods, and migrating salamanders for those lucky enough to spot them. Many thanks to Doug and Cinda Gausman for setting up the walk. ![]() Cinda Gausman explores the remains of a farmstead chimney hidden away in the middle of the park.

Just a reminder that we will be doing a walk in Jones Park in Vestal on September 14th. There are miles of trails in Jones Park. It should be a beautiful fall walk.. It is our last "outdoorsy" walk of the year.
The club's Ops Committee has been busily working on next year's walks (Yes! already!). We'll be doing a few new walks, in Brackney and Whaupaunaucau State Forest, as well as some old favorites, such as Skaneateles and Lime Hollow. Click on the Calendar link to get a full listing for next year. |
