The POC's for the Jones park walk this Saturday suggests that you be prepared for some squishy places ie wear boots not sandals. Remember that there are no outhouses or any other facilities on the grounds and to bring water if you need to rehydrate when you walk. There is gas station/store on route 26 just about 4 miles before the park.
The Vestal Center United Methodist Church is having a chicken bbq that day from 11 to 3 just perfect for hungry hikers. The church is just down the road (rte.26) from the park. We have suggestions for other restaurants nearby if church bbq is not your thing.
Exit route 17 at the route 26 south exit and drive straight through Vestal Center. Take the first left turn out of VC which will be State Line Road. Travel along until you see the mailbox on the left with 73 on it. Right after that is Jones Park.
