Waterman Nature Center
Come join the Finger Lakes Region Volkssport Club for a 10k walk at the Waterman Conservation Center in Appalachin, New York. Walk along wooded paths and trails and through a gorge with a stream. If you like birds, this is the walk for you.

TRAIL INFORMATION: Trail is rated 2. Be prepared for muddy conditions.
ELIGIBILITY: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult; pets must be on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.
REGISTRATION: Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $3.00. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card on the same day. Event award is available for $6.00. including walk event credit stamp. IVV achievement books are available for $5.00 each. No refunds once event has started. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted. Walks of a shorter distance are available for those unable to complete a 10K walk.

TIME: Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Finish by dark
DIRECTIONS: From New York Route 17, take exit 66, Apalachin. Turn right at the end of the ramp. Go 1.5 miles on Route 434. Look for Waterman Conservation Education Center sign. The sign is quite small, so don't miss it! Turn left on Hilton Road. Go to top of the hill, the center is on the left.
REFRESHMENTS: Water and restrooms available at the start point.
