Montour Falls from Dreamweaver
This 5/10K walk will go through the small, but scenic, village of Montour Falls and will feature an in-town waterfall, the grave of a Seneca woman chief, and portions of the Catherine Valley Trail. You may wish to do the Watkins Glen walk as well, and make this one a double header!

Start/Finish: Catherine Valley Trailhead parking area, Genesee St, Montour Falls

Trail Rating: Rating is 2. Most of the route is on city sidewalks and streets, and a flat rail trail. There is one small hill.
Eligibility: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets must be on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.
Registration: Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $3.00. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card. IVV achievement books are available for $5.00 each. No refunds once event is started. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted. Walks of shorter distance are available for those unable to complete a 10K walk.
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Finish by dark. Group walk at noon.

Directions:Trailhead is located on Genesee St., off of Route 14, on the outskirts of Montour Falls. Look for the trail marker for the turnoff. Do not use the trailhead on Cook St. A map of the Catherine Valley Trail and it's trailheads is here.
Weather: FLRVC events are held regardless of weather. Plan and dress accordingly.
Refreshments: Restrooms available at start point, along the trail, and at the public library. There are some eating places in Montour Falls along the route.
