Lime Hollow

Join us in a 5K/10K walk through Lime Hollow Nature Center, near Cortland, NY. Walk features walking trails though woodlands, passing by wetlands, fields, ponds, and streams. There are wildlife viewing stations and a peat bog (Chicago Bog)
STARTING POINT: Lime Hollow Center for Nature and the Environment, Visitor's Center entrance, 338 McLean Road, Cortland, NY
SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Rainbow Colored Places, Trekking with the Trees

TRAIL RATING: Trail rating is 2B; walk is on forest trails and city streets and sidewalks.
ELIGIBILITY: All ages are welcome to participate; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets must be on leash and owners must clean up after pets.
REGISTRATION: Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $3.00. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card.IVV achievement books are available for $5.00 each. No refunds once event has started. Can walk free if no credit/award is wanted.

DIRECTIONS: From the South: From 81-N, take exit 10 for NY-41N. Continue on to Port Watson Street. Continue onto NY 13S/Tompkins St. Take a slight right onto Maclean Rd and look for FLRVC signs. From the North: Take I-81S to exit 12 toward US11/NY41. Keep left at the fork to continue toward NY-281S. Turn right on Luker Rd. Turn right on McLean road and look for FLRVC signs.
WEATHER: Event will be held regardless of weather. Plan and dress accordingly.
REFRESHMENTS: Water and restrooms available at the start point. Sorry, no pets on trails.
