Six Mile Creek Ithaca from Dreamweaver
Come join the Finger Lakes Region Volkssport Club for a scenic 10k walk in Six Mile Creek Park in Ithaca, New York. The walk will go along the creek, passing Potter's Falls as well as several other waterfalls and passes through the Elizabeth Mulholland Wildflower Preserve. The Club Picnic and Annual Meeting will be held at 2:00. If the weather is warm, you may want to bring a swimsuit for the creek or the reservoir.

TRAIL INFORMATION: Trail rating is 2+. Parts not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. Woodland trail with significant ups and downs. Some primitive trails.
ELIGIBILITY: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult; pets must be on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.
REGISTRATION: Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $3.00. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card. Event award is available for $5.00. including walk event credit stamp. Limited A awards available for purchase. IVV achievement books are available for $5.00 each. No refunds once event has started. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted.

DIRECTIONS: Take Rte 79 east out of Ithaca; turn right onto Giles Street and follow to bottom of hill. Park in available lot just before the bridge that crosses Six Mile Creek. The parking area is at Elizabeth Mulholland Wildflower Preserve. Follow FLRVC signs to start point.

REFRESHMENTS: Food and water available near the start point. You should carry water with you on the walk. There are NO restrooms available at the start point. This park is in the city of Ithaca, so there should be shops and businesses nearby before you park for the walk.
