Enjoy this Finger Lakes Volkssport Club 10k walk through Hamilton, New York. Colgate Inn, established in 1840, is the starting point. The trail follows village sidewalks past early 1800's homes, Colgate University, and Colgate Stadium. There is a farmers' market in Village Square on Saturday mornings from late spring to early fall. There are several alternate routes available, but not all go by Colgate University

TRAIL INFORMATION: Trail is rated 1. Strollers OK with some steps. Pets must be leashed and you must clean up after them.
ELIGIBILITY: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult; pets must be on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.
REGISTRATION: Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $3.00. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card. IVV achievement books are available for $5.00 each. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted.
AWARD: B awards available.
TIME: Daily, 8 to dusk. Call the Inn for summer hours of operation.
DIRECTIONS: From the south, take Route 12 north from Binghamton (I-81/NY17) to Sherburne, then 12B to Hamilton. From the north, take routh 12B south from Utica (I-90). From the east, take Route 23 west from Oneonta (I-88) to Norwich, then Rt. 12 and 12B to Hamilton. From the west, take Route 41 east from Cortland (I-81) to Hwy 26 north, to 23 east to Norwich.
REFRESHMENTS: Water and restrooms are available at the Colgate Inn and at points along the route.
