Come join the Finger Lakes Volkssport Club for a 5K or 10k walk through Greenwood Park near Nanticoke, New York. .

TRAIL INFORMATION: Trail rating is 2B; not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. County park hiking trails through forest and around a lake. Well maintained. Some small hills. Much of the trail route(s) are shaded.
PARK INFORMATION: Greenwood Park features a beach and swimming area, so bring your bathing suit. There are also paddle boats and kayaks available for rental.
ELIGIBILITY: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult; pets must be on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.
REGISTRATION: Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $3.00. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card on the same day. B awards are available. IVV achievement books are available for $6.00 each. No refunds once event is started. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted.

DIRECTIONS: Follow directions below, then look for FLRVC signs.
FROM BINGHAMTON:
Rt.17 to Exit 71 N (Airport Road). Go approximately 6 miles north on Airport Road. Turn left onto Commercial Drive. At end of Commercial Drive take right onto East Maine Road. Go 3 miles on East Maine Road to stop sign. Go straight onto Ames Road to stop sign. Turn right on Nanticoke Road- travel 7 miles. Turn left onto Greenwood Road.
FROM ENDICOTT:
Rt.26 North to Village of Maine. Pass elementary school on left, bear left at "Y" onto Nanticoke Road. Go 8 miles on Nanticoke Road. Turn left onto Greenwood Road.
FROM ITHACA:
Rt.79 East to Center Lisle. Pass white church on left, turn right onto Caldwell Hill Road. Go approximately 5 miles on Caldwell Hill Road. Turn right onto Greenwood Road.
FROM WHITNEY POINT:
Rt.11 North to Rt. 79 West. Go approximately 4-5 miles to Caldwell Hill Road. Turn left on Caldwell Hill Road. Go 4 miles on Caldwell Hill Road. Turn right onto Greenwood Road.
FROM OWEGO/NEWARK VALLEY:
Rt.38 North to Wilson Creek road (next to Newark Valley High School). Right on Wilson Creek Road. Approximately 5 miles to right tonetic Road. Stay on Ketchumville Road to end. Straight at stop sign to Greenwood Road.
WEATHER: Events are held regardless of weather. Plan and dress appropriately.
REFRESHMENTS: Water, food and restrooms are available at the park.
