Fillmore Glen State Park from dreamweaver
Come join the Finger Lakes Volkssport Club for a 10k walk through lovely Fillmore Glen State Park (near Moravia, New York). Fillmore Glen has five major waterfalls, as well as many smaller ones. This should be some great leaf color this time of year. This walk was originally scheduled for March 3rd.

TRAIL INFORMATION: Trail rating is 3+; not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Walk is on park trails and snowmobile path. Some trail sections are steep. Strongly recommended: good walking shoes or boots and a walking stick.
ELIGIBILITY: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult; pets must be on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.
REGISTRATION: Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $3.00, $6.00 with patch.. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card on the same day. A awards are available. IVV achievement books are available for $5.00 each. No refunds once event is started. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted.

TIME: Start anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Finish by dark.
DIRECTIONS: Fillmore Glen State Park is located on NYS route 38, 1 mile south of the village of Moravia and Owasco Lake. Note that the park has a $6.00 admission fee.
From Cortland and I-81: From Exit 12 off I-81, follow NYS route 281 north to NYS route 90 North. Turn onto 90 North, and continue about 15 minutes to NYS route 38 in Locke. Turn north onto 38 and follow it a few miles to Fillmore Glen State Park on your right.
From Ithaca and points South and West: Follow NYS route 79 east to NYS route 366. Continue east on 366 to its end at NYS route 38 in Freeville. Turn north onto route 38 and drive for another 20 minutes or so to Fillmore Glen State Park on your right.
The Old Bath House: After passing the entrance gate to the park, bear right. Take the first left at the sign for "Old Bath House". The first big building that you see is the New Bath House. Do not park here. Pass through the first parking area, cross the stream (it won't be deep) and continue to the next parking area.
WEATHER: Events are held regardless of weather. Plan and dress appropriately.
REFRESHMENTS: Water, and restrooms available in the park. Plan to carry water with you.
