Route goes through downtown Binghamton and crosses two rivers. The walk passes by NYSEG stadium, home to the Rumble Ponies.
Start Point: Broome County YMCA, 61 Susquehanna Street, Binghamton, NY.

Directions to Broome County YMCA: From the North: Take 81 S, then Rt. 7S, exit 4S towards Binghamton. Merge onto NY 363 W. Take Susquehanna St. ramp, then slight right onto Susquehanna St. From the South: Take I 81 North to where it joins Rt. 17. Take Rt. 17 to exit 4 N-S toward Hillcrest/Binghamton. Take Rt. 7, exit 4S on left toward Binghamton. Merge onto NY 363 W and follow directions from that point above. From West: Take Rt 17 east to Binghamton, then Rt 7-S then follow directions for South, above. There is limited parking for YMCA, but there is street parking.
NOTE: The Start Box is stored on a shelf under the YMCA front desk, but some front desk staff may not know the YMCA is an AVA Start Point. So you may need to assist the staff with locating the Start Box by describing it: plastic file box, labelled "Start Box" on all sides, dark blue with white lid, about 15in wide, 6in deep, 12in high. Or if possible, perhaps using a smartphone, you could show the snapshot of the Start Box which is at the bottom of this page.

Eligibility: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are allowed if leashed. Please clean up after your pet. Registration: Each participant must register at the start point and fill out a start card. Start cards are turned in at the finish. Event is eligible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. Fee is $3.00. IVV achievement books are available for $6.00 each. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted.
Refreshments: Water and restrooms are available at the start point.
