Come join the Finger Lakes Volkssport Club for a 5k/10k walk through the city and countryside of Aurora, New York. Aurora is on Cayuga Lake (one of the the Finger Lakes) and is home to Wells College. The annual Aurorafest starts in the afternoon on the day of the walk.
HOST: Finger Lakes Region Volkssport Club
START/FINISH: Aurora Firehouse, Route 90 and Sherwood Drive, Aurora, NY. Note that this is a new start point!

TRAIL INFORMATION: Trail rating is 1+, on paved sidewalks, roads, and pathways; suitable for strollers with a very small amount of stairs and hills.
ELIGIBILITY: All ages are welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets must be on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.
REGISTRATION: Event is elegible for acquisition of IVV achievement awards. One event stamp may be entered in event books. Fee is $2.00. Unlimited distance credit may be entered in distance books. You may walk twice using the same start card. Event award shield is available for $5.00 (includes $2.00 event credit). IVV achievement books are available for $6.00 each. No refunds once event has started. Participants may walk at no charge if no event credit or award is wanted.

TIME: Start anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
DIRECTIONS: From I-90, take exit 41 or 42 to Rte 20; take Rte 20 to Rte 90 and take Rte 90 south to Aurora. From I-81, take exit 12 to Rte 90, take Rte 90 north to Aurora. Rte 90 is Main Street in Aurora and the Aurora Firehouse is on the East side of the street, oppposite Cayuga Lake. Park BEHIND the Firehouse in the grass parking lot.
WEATHER:Events are held regardless of weather. Plan and dress appropriately.
REFRESHMENTS: Food and drink are available for sale at the start point and in the adjacent area. Water will be available at the start point.
