Eleven hardy souls came out for the Greenwood Park walk, on a day with extreme heat and humidity and a constant threat of thunderstorms. The storms, for the most part, held off until mid-afternoon. Many thanks to club member Sue Merry, (seen below), who stayed behind to help the POC take down the tent (and got soaked in the process).

If you are female and planning on going on the Harrisburg trip, and don't mind sharing a room, please contact chailey523@gmail.com.
Our fall trip is to Harrisburg, PA on the weekend of September 24th & 25th. Please contact Bill Donahue 607-625-3583 by August 1st, if you plan to go so that we can work out carpooling. We will do the Harrisburg walk on Saturday (with a possible visit to the Civil War museum there) and plan to walk Ephrata on Sunday. Both walks pass many interesting sites and qualify for numerous special programs.
We had 13 happy walkers at the Virgil event. There were many dishes to pass at the club picnic afterwards. Everyone went home stuffed! May thanks to Sue & Stan Connelly for hosting. Our next walk is in Virgil on July 9th. We will have our annual club picnic after this event, around 1:00. Please bring a dish to pass and your own beverage. Hot dogs will be provided. RSVP Sue Connelly with your dish suggestion so we don't end up with 10 pasta salads :). If you don't have a dish to bring, please come anyway! Everyone welcome.
Come join us for our first traditional walk of the year, Endicott, NY. The start point is Friendly's and the walk runs 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We haven't walked Endicott in quite a while. It qualifies for our new Special Program, Walking the Path of Invention, amongst others. Enjoy the spring weather and take a stroll through Endicott!
There were 6 walkers at the group walk of the Binghamton year-round in April. The walk was followed by lunch at a local downton brew pub.
Our May walk, and first traditional walk of the year, is on Saturday, May 14th in Endicott, NY. It is has been quite a few years since we have walked Endicott. The walk qualifies for a number of different special programs, including our very own, Walking the Path of Invention. There will be a group walk of the Binghamton Year-Round, this Saturday, April 9th. Meet at the start point at 10:00 a.m. There may be lunch at a local eatery afterwards.
The Ithaca walk drew 11 walkers who all enjoyed the unseasonally warm and sunny weather. Lunch at the Ithaca Bakery followed. A bit late to post this, but, our first walk of the year will be on Saturday, March 12 in Ithaca. Meet at the start point for the Ithaca Year-Round at 10:00 if you would like to do a group walk with other club members. This is one of our year-round walks, not a traditional event. There will probably be a group lunch afterwards at one of Ithaca's many eateries.
